Does anyone else dream to be loaded with money like this lazy rich kid like I do? You could party whenever you wanted and do anything with your daddy’s money. Most guys can relate to this fantasy. Money, a hot teacher, and fighting for what you want is what this movie is all about. In the movie, Billy goes back to school to show that he is worthy of claiming his father’s hotel chain. I know that every guy in one point of his life has had to work extremely hard to achieve something important to them, I certainly have.
My grandpa and uncle were both police officers and ever since I road along with them it has been my dream to become one. Just like Billy, I must work my butt off in school in order to achieve my lifelong dream. Instead of inheriting a hotel chain, hopefully my hard work will lead to me becoming an Illinois State police officer.
Some people may argue that guy movies like Billy Madison are for nothing but stupid entertainment. However, I believe that Billy Madison conveys good morals of hard work, even with all the humor. Sometimes guys go down the wrong path and they need a challenge like Billy’s to get their life on the right track. This is my personal favorite of all the Adam Sandler that I have seen. And after you see them all you become very tired of that weird voice he does. you know… THAT voice. Honestly, he can get pretty annoying because of the typical immature role that he plays in ALL of his movies. Either way I still like this movie, just because it’s funny, and there are so many memorable moments and quotes that you will always remember and laugh about, like when he “sees” the penguin and wants to send him back to the South Pole. I’ll always laugh at this move.
ReplyDeleteI love that you found the moral behind this movie. I feel like most people do thing about that when they watch comical movies, such as the ones Adam Sandler is in. I also really liked how you compared it back to your life. I find this movie hilarious, though can get a bit annoying how immature Adam gets that is the point behind it all. Also, ever since I have been in high school and up I have been saying how I wish i could go back to grade school when everything was just easier. Billy got that and that's something that would be so interesting to do. Other than the fact he was crazy older than everyone else I would not like that aspect. Life back then was just so much more carefree. Though I am not one of the "guys" it was still an enjoyable movie for me! It is a movie that TV will be able to show over and over again and still get many viewers.
ReplyDeleteBilly Madison is one of Adam Sandler’s best movies. Probably the best thing I got out of it was that you can be really only having to try when you need to, not all the time. I also like how immature he is the whole time and throwing kid’s parties after each graduation. Even though that is Adam Sandler’s reoccurring role in movies to be immature it’s still funny. Every time I see this movie come on I usually watch it. Just look at Happy Gilmore or Big Daddy, both movies Adam Sandler acts the same yet there both classics.

ReplyDeleteYESSS!! This movie is one of the greatest movies of all time! But I’ve seen it so many times and yet I have never realized that it has a moral... Oops. But this movie is a great one for sure! It has everything you need for a great movie, a good story line, a funny actor, a hot teacher chick, and so much humor you won’t know what to do with yourself, you'll be laughing the whole movie! You definitely picked a great movie to write about that's for sure.
