Anchorman!

When I want to watch a funny movie to make me laugh, I choose anything with Will Ferrell in it. The other day I was stressed out about everything. Trying to get all of my school work done on time while working 5 days a week was finally getting to me. I finally finished my homework and I flipped on my T.V. and saw that Anchorman was on.
My bad mood was immediately gone and I couldn’t stop laughing. I hadn’t watched this movie in a while, but each time I do watch it I love it. The channel 4 news team consists of four party animals who love the ladies. Will Ferrell is the Anchorman and he does a damn well job at it. However when a lovely lady comes onto the station’s team, the sexist men try and do everything to make it so she doesn’t become the lead anchor.
The reason I love this movie is simple, the humor. From Jack Black punt-kicking his dog, to Steve Carell inviting the new woman to the party in his pants, the movie is hysterical the whole way through. Comedy is a great way to relieve stress in our lives. Laughter always seems to pick me up when I am having a bad day. This movie is a great way to relax and just stop thinking about our hectic lives for a change. Billy Madison

Movies are a great way to relax with friends when it is either crappy out or just when there is nothing to do. My friends and I watch all different types of movies from action packed war movies to hilarious comedies. One of my favorite guy movies is Billy Madison.
Does anyone else dream to be loaded with money like this lazy rich kid like I do? You could party whenever you wanted and do anything with your daddy’s money. Most guys can relate to this fantasy. Money, a hot teacher, and fighting for what you want is what this movie is all about. In the movie, Billy goes back to school to show that he is worthy of claiming his father’s hotel chain. I know that every guy in one point of his life has had to work extremely hard to achieve something important to them, I certainly have.
My grandpa and uncle were both police officers and ever since I road along with them it has been my dream to become one. Just like Billy, I must work my butt off in school in order to achieve my lifelong dream. Instead of inheriting a hotel chain, hopefully my hard work will lead to me becoming an Illinois State police officer.
Some people may argue that guy movies like Billy Madison are for nothing but stupid entertainment. However, I believe that Billy Madison conveys good morals of hard work, even with all the humor. Sometimes guys go down the wrong path and they need a challenge like Billy’s to get their life on the right track. Saving Private Ryan

In 1998, Steven Spielberg directed one of the best war movies of all time. Guys love to watch movies with action and believe me; this one has plenty of it! In my opinion, Saving Private Ryan is the best war movie ever made. While watching it, you really understand what it was like for the soldiers back in World War II.
James Francis Ryan, or better known as Private Ryan, is the sole survivor of his brothers. Out of four brothers, he is the only one who had not been killed in action already. General George Marshall sends orders to have Private Ryan found so his mother has at least one son who she can expect to come home from the war. After receiving the orders, Captain John H. Miller (played by Tom Hanks) assembles 7 men from his company and they start their search for a “needle in a haystack.” After traveling across the battered country for what seems like years, they finally find their precious Private Ryan. After Private Ryan is told of the deaths of his brothers and how he can go home, he still refuses and says he must stay here and defend the bridge with the only brothers he has left. The crew are pissed off that he didn’t even want to leave and they had lost good soldiers along the way to save this one kid. They decide to help defend the bridge in one-last battle. Many of the soldiers die including Captain Miller. The movie ends with James Ryan (now in his 70’s) visiting the grave of John H. Miller. James breaks down and hopes that what he had accomplished in his life was worth what John, and the other soldiers died for.
This movie is jam-packed with action from the beginning until the end. It is a good movie for guys because it shows guns, war, gore, explosions, and other action. The other reason why I chose it is because many guys are in the military. Any person from the military can better understand what these soldiers went through and the pain and agony that goes along with war.
